THE ARCHITECT

Tom Fazio's outstanding forty-year career is based on the simple premise that a golf course should reflect the natural beauty of its setting. By this standard Galloway National is blessed with all the ingredients that make waterfront golf courses so endearing and so challenging. Gentle contours, dense pine forests, sand and water are the raw materials Fazio used to fashion Galloway National.

Tom Fazio began his career, which would see him reach the top of his profession, as an assistant project director in the family firm in 1967. As his involvement and responsibilities expanded to encompass all the operations of the business, more and more noted courses carried his unmistakable, and widely admired design "signature."

Upon it’s completion, Golf Digest featured Galloway as one of America's Best New Courses of 1994, and for the first time in history, one golf course architect, Tom Fazio, won three "Best of Class" Awards.

Golf Digest has described Tom Fazio as "an architect of dramatic and fair golf courses that bring joy to the serious golfer." That's almost an exact paraphrase of the concept behind Galloway National Golf Club and the design criteria set for Mr. Fazio when he was commissioned for the project.

With Galloway National's 7,111 yard, 18-hole championship course, a rich golf experience awaits a select few.
